Sudan Elected as Member of the Executive Office of the Arab Athletics Federation

The President of the Sudanese Athletics Federation, Al-Moez Abbas Ali, was elected to the Executive Office of the Arab Athletics Federation after receiving 16 votes out of 18 votes cast at the Federation’s General Assembly, which concluded its work on Thursday, in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia assumed the presidency as the host country. In contrast, Egypt assumed the vice-presidency position for the Africa Group, and Iraq assumed the vice-presidency position for the Asia Group.
The Executive Office of the Arab Athletics Federation includes Sudan, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Syria, the Sultanate of Oman, and Algeria.
Mohammed Abdullah Jibril, Vice-President of the Sudanese Athletics Federation, said that the Federation received congratulations on this great Arab achievement from the Sudanese Olympic Committee and the various sports federations, wishing athletics further international success and victories, and a return to its former glory.
