Sports Circles Await Final Decision on Al Hilal Complaint on Friday
Cairo – Sudanhorizon
Sports circles in Africa and Sudan, particularly fans of Al Hilal Club, are awaiting a final decision from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) tomorrow (Friday) regarding Al Hilal’s complaint against Morocco’s RS Berkane over the eligibility of player Al-Mousawi in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinal—a case that has sparked intense legal controversy.
The hearing related to Al Hilal’s case was held at CAF headquarters on Thursday afternoon, attended by the club’s Secretary-General Dr. Hassan Ali Issa and lawyer Pedro. The session reportedly witnessed heated deliberations between the parties.
Sources from Al Hilal stated that the club’s lawyer presented several objections, set certain conditions, and submitted urgent demands. Based on these developments, the session was postponed to Friday, when the final decision is expected to be issued.
