Saudi Arabia Condemns Targeting of Vital Facilities in Kassala and Port Sudan

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemned the targeting of vital facilities and infrastructure in Port Sudan and Kassala, eastern Sudan.
In a statement seen by the Sudanhorizon news website, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its denunciation of the targeting and considered it a threat to regional stability and Arab-African national security.
The Kingdom called for an immediate end to the war in Sudan and to spare Sudan and its brotherly people further suffering and destruction.
The Kingdom reiterated its position that the solution to the crisis is a Sudanese political solution that respects the sovereignty and unity of Sudan and is based on supporting Sudanese state institutions.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom’s rejection of these violations, stressing the need to provide protection for civilians and implement the provisions of the Jeddah Declaration’s Commitment to Protecting Civilians in Sudan.
