SAF Report Targeted Strikes on (RSF) Positions in Nyala

A brief press statement issued on Friday by the office of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) spokesperson announced that the Air Force had carried out “targeted strikes against command centers of the Al-Dagalo militia and positions held by its mercenaries in the city of Nyala.”

The statement added that the attacks “resulted in the deaths of dozens of militia members and the destruction of command centers,” noting that the Armed Forces continue to track the mercenaries’ gatherings and the militia’s command posts with the objective of eliminating them.

This marks one of the rare occasions on which the Sudanese Armed Forces have confirmed conducting airstrikes against targets linked to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Nyala—the capital of South Darfur State, which the parallel “founding” (ta’sis) administration has designated as its own capital.
