Qatar: Support for Voluntary Return Plans in Sudan

The Qatari Ambassador to Sudan, Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sada, has affirmed his country’s firm position in supporting the Sudanese government in all areas, pointing in this regard to the humanitarian support provided through the Qatari Red Crescent and Qatar Charity.
The ambassador has explained that Qatar seeks to implement immediate projects aimed at supporting the Sudanese government in its efforts to encourage the civilians voluntary return, in addition to other future projects.
A statement issued by the Office of the Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs onTuesday said that the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Omar Mohammed Ahmed Siddiq, received ambassador Al-Sada in his office on Tuesday.
The meeting reviewed the strong brotherly relations between the two nations. The Minister of State expressed the Sudan’s gratitude and appreciation to the sisterly Qatar for its significant support, which has been evident since early times.
He emphasized that the Sudanese government’s priority is to ensure the return of displaced persons to their areas and facilitate their voluntary return.
In this regard, he praised the proposal put forward by the Qatari ambassador, affirming the Sudanese government’s readiness and support for such projects that would help stabilize the country and restore normal life.
