Prominent North Darfur Native Administration Leader Narrowly Escapes Assassination as Drones Attack His Stronghold

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
The Sudanese Revolutionary Awakening Council has announced in an urgent statement this evening that its leader, Sheikh Musa Hilal Abdullah, survived an assassination attempt following an intense drone attack targeting his stronghold, Mustariha, North Darfur State.
The Council’s official spokesperson, Ahmed Mohamed Abkar, confirmed that Sheikh Musa Hilal is safe and unharmed, categorically denying rumors circulating about his being killed and asserting that these reports false.
The statement described the attack as barbaric, as it directly targeted Sheikh Hilal’s guesthouse, in addition to targeting the area’s hospital three times consecutively, bombing civilian homes, and a mourning tent for a local resident while mourners were present.
The council condemned this behavior, describing it as “brutal and cowardly,” noting that targeting medical and civilian facilities reflects the barbaric nature of the aggressors.
The Council confirmed that it will make public the full details of the situation on the ground shortly.
