Prime Minister: No New Fees at Border Crossings

Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris, has instructed that no new fees or taxes be added at border crossings. He also ordered government agencies, including the Ministry of Finance, Customs, the Tax Authority, the states, and the Border Crossings Authority, to implement the new directive with immediate effect.
The Sudan News Agency (SUNA) quoted the Prime Minister as urging people not to pay any additional or unregulated fees, stating that “these fees have impoverished people and have failed to enrich the government.”
