Police Announce Resumption of Networked Systems at Khartoum International Airport Passport Office
Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
The Sudanese Police announced on Friday the resumption and upgrading of technical systems that had been suspended during the war, including the watchlist and control system, passenger movement system, and the foreigners’ system. The police also confirmed that the passport office at Khartoum International Airport has been supplied with all the necessary equipment and devices for operation, in addition to restoring network connectivity to ensure continuity of services.
According to a statement issued by the Police Press Office, a meeting of the Passports and Civil Registry Authority—chaired by the Authority’s Director, Lieutenant General (Legal Affairs) Mohamed Al-Hassan Dinkawi—confirmed the full return of all departments and branch offices to resume their operations from Khartoum State. This follows the completion of maintenance and rehabilitation works at their premises, enabling them to provide core services to citizens under normal conditions.
The meeting also discussed ongoing arrangements to rehabilitate the passport and civil documents printing plant in Jabra, south of Khartoum, in preparation for its imminent operation, alongside preparations to launch the electronic passport production facility.
