Ministry of Finance Signs E-Service Contracts With Commercial Banks

On Sunday, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning signed legal contracts with two Sudanese commercial banks, Faisal Islamic Bank and Khartoum Bank, according to which banking services and products, collection and electronic payment services are made available in the two banks for the benefit of the Ministry of Finance.
The service will enable the Ministry to electronically supply and collect fees for government services and transactions.
The Director General of the Audit Bureau signed on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, while the banks’ representatives signed on behalf of their banks.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Director General of the Treasury Department at the Ministry of Finance, the Director of Revenues, and the Ministry’s Legal Advisor.
A circular published by the Ministry of Finance explained that the agreement comes within the context of completing the arrangements by the Ministry of Finance to open government accounts in commercial banks with branches all over the country and which possess electronic converter systems to implement the electronic collection and payment projects.
