Minister of Information: Sennar is Recaptured, and Justice is Looming for Criminals

Sudanese Minister of Information Khalid Aleisir stated that the determination and resilience of the Sudanese people in facing challenges and hardships reflect the strength and steadfastness of the nation and its military and security forces, which remain unbroken.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Aleisir wrote: “The confidence Sudanese citizens have in their armed forces, intelligence, and other regular forces, along with the joint forces and mobilized citizens, remains unwavering despite internal and external threats. This trust symbolizes the unity of purpose, clarity of vision, and cohesion of the national will.”

He added: “This continued resilience confirms that the Sudanese people and their forces are on the path to achieving more victories that will restore the country’s security and stability, cleansing it of the discord sown by rebels, traitors, and their foreign backers.”

He further stated: “Today, the city of Sennar has returned to the nation’s embrace, thanks to God’s will and our heroes’ courage. The moment of justice and accountability is coming. All those who contributed to these crimes will face punishment commensurate with their actions.”

The minister extended his salute to the Sudanese Armed Forces, security apparatus, joint forces, mobilized citizens, and everyone contributing to the nation’s cause from their respective roles and positions.

On Saturday, the Sudanese army issued a statement, viewed by Sudanhorizon, announcing: “The armed forces and other regular forces, operating from the headquarters of the 17th Infantry Division in the city of Sennar, are on the path to completely liberating the nation from the terrorist rebel Rapid Support Forces.”
