The Minister of Culture and Information, Khalid Ali Al-Aisir, officially assumed his duties on Tuesday from his predecessor, Dr Graham Abdel Qader, in the presence of the Ministry’s Undersecretary, Somaya Al-Hadi Ahmed.

The minister praised the efforts of his predecessor, Dr Graham, who resumed his original position as Undersecretary for Culture, along with the team that worked with him during the challenging past period. He acknowledged their significant contribution to media efforts under the constraints imposed by the war.

Minister Al-Aisir expressed his intention to work sincerely with all stakeholders and establish external connections with those well-meaning toward Sudan. The minister emphasized that Sudan is experiencing complex circumstances requiring cooperation and collective effort. He highlighted that reforming the media and cultural sector will draw on the experiences of media professionals who have worked under these challenging conditions, pledging to establish institutions that serve the country and its human resources while fostering an improved and competitive environment.

On Wednesday, Minister Al-Aisir visited the temporary headquarters of the Sudanese Radio and Television Corporation at the Red Sea State Broadcasting Authority. He toured various departments and the live broadcast studio.
