Minister of Energy Receives Invitation to Participate in India Energy Week

The Minister of Energy, Engineer and Advisor Al-Mu’tasim Ibrahim Ahmed, received today (Tuesday) at his office in the city of Port Sudan the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Sudan. During the meeting, they reviewed opportunities for Sudan’s participation in India Energy Week and the importance of taking part in this significant international forum, in a way that enhances Sudan’s presence on the global energy map and opens new horizons for investment in the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors, the transfer of modern technologies, and the building of strategic partnerships with international companies and institutions.
Both sides affirmed the importance of leveraging this event to support Sudanese–Indian cooperation in the energy sector in a manner that serves energy security and economic development in Sudan.
India Energy Week 2026 will be held from January 27 to 30, 2026, in the Indian city of Goa. It is considered the largest international energy platform, bringing together energy ministers, global company leaders, investors, and innovators from more than 120 countries to discuss the future of energy, energy security, and the transition toward clean and sustainable energy.
The event is expected to witness the participation of more than 75,000 professionals and around 700 exhibiting companies from various energy sectors, making it a pivotal platform for building international alliances and supporting the transition to more secure and sustainable energy systems.
