Al-Burhan Updates Prince MBS on Developments in Sudan

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, updated Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the situation in Sudan, focusing on the recent rebellion by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) against the state and its institutions.
This rebellion has resulted in serious violations against civilians, targeting innocent citizens and the destruction of vital infrastructure and institutions in the country. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh.
According to a statement from the Sovereignty Council’s media office, the meeting addressed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation between Sudan and Saudi Arabia.
The statement added that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman affirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for Sudan’s unity, security, stability, and territorial integrity. He emphasized the deep-rooted historical ties between the Saudi and Sudanese people. He expressed Saudi Arabia’s hope for a swift restoration of peace and stability in Sudan to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people.
