Minerals Ministry Announces New Investment Offers and Mining Technologies

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Minerals, Dr. Hind Siddiq Hamed, revealed that Sudan’s mining sector is expected to witness qualitative transformations, affirming that the ministry has begun implementing an ambitious strategic vision aimed at attracting high-quality investments and creating an enabling environment aligned with global standards for the modern mining industry.

In a press statement on the sidelines of the Future of Mining Forum, which concluded its activities yesterday in the Saudi capital Riyadh, the Undersecretary said that Sudan has become a focal point for major international companies. She noted that the ministry has received advanced investment offers from companies specializing in modern mining technologies, a clear indication of growing international confidence in Sudan’s mining potential.

Dr. Hind explained that the focus is on transferring advanced technology, localizing technical know-how, and building national capacities, contributing to a qualitative leap in sector performance, higher production efficiency, and maximizing economic returns from untapped mineral resources.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Minerals stressed that these potential partnerships represent a strategic turning point for mining in Sudan, helping to create real added value for the national economy, open new employment opportunities, and strengthen Sudan’s position on the regional and international mining map.

She added that the ministry is moving forward with developing legislative and institutional frameworks, simplifying procedures, and ensuring transparency—steps that will consolidate Sudan’s image as a promising investment destination in the mining sector in the coming period.
