Managing Director of Sudan Electricity Inspects Ongoing Repairs at Atbara Substation

The Managing Director of the Sudan Electricity Holding Company, Engineer and Consultant Abdullah Ahmed Mohamed, on Saturday inspected the ongoing technical repair works at the Atbara substation and the efforts underway to overcome the effects of sabotage as soon as possible.
This came during a field visit to the station, during which he reviewed the extent of the structural and technical damage inflicted on the facility as a result of attacks by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia, and followed up on the progress of urgent engineering operations aimed at restoring service.
Accompanying the Managing Director on the visit were Engineer Yasser Al-Shazali, Managing Director of the Electricity Transmission Company, and Engineer Walid Kabashi, Director of the General Administration for Maintenance and Operation at the Electricity Transmission Company. The visit was part of joint coordination among electricity sector departments to assess the damage on the ground and accelerate maintenance work.
On another note, the Managing Director and the accompanying delegation offered condolences to the families of the two Civil Defense martyrs who were killed while performing their national duty in protecting and securing the station during the attack. Engineer Abdullah praised the heroic role and strong coordination between electricity teams and Civil Defense forces, affirming that the blood of the martyrs shed in defense of vital facilities will remain a guiding light for workers. He prayed that God accept them among the righteous and grant their families patience and solace.
The Managing Director reaffirmed the commitment of the electricity sector, with all its personnel, to continued and dedicated work to ensure the stability of power supply to citizens despite the current challenges.
