Lieutenant General Kabashi Holds Meeting to Support Khartoum State

Member of the Sovereignty Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabashi, held a meeting today to support Khartoum State, attended by Mohamed Kurtukaila Saleh, Minister of Federal Governance and Rural Development, and Ahmed Osman Hamza, Acting Governor of Khartoum.
The Sovereignty Council member was briefed on the overall security, humanitarian, and service situation, as well as the efforts being made to provide essential services and basic needs for citizens in Khartoum State.
In a press statement, the Governor of Khartoum said he had presented a report to the Sovereignty Council member on the efforts of the state government to repair water stations, restore electricity services, and rehabilitate service and health facilities, alongside addressing the negative impacts of the war.
He added that the meeting reviewed the state government’s efforts to maintain security, protect the state, address the issue of foreign presence, and remove informal settlements.
The Governor stated that the meeting stressed the importance of supporting vulnerable groups affected by the war, adding that the Sovereignty Council member directed the state government to give special priority to these groups in order to mitigate the negative consequences of the war.
The Khartoum Governor praised the sacrifices and bravery of the Armed Forces, other regular forces, and mobilised volunteers in waging the Battle of Dignity, affirming that the state is free of rebellion.
