Landing at its Airport, Burhan Declares “Khartoum is Free”

The military helicopter carrying the President of the Sovereign Transitional Council -cum- Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, landed his military plane this afternoon at the Khartoum military base.
Various satellite channels and social media broadcast videos showing Burhan interacting with soldiers and inspecting the buildings of the Presidential Palace, which was liberated five days ago.
Burhan has declared from the Presidential Palace on Wednesday that “the issue is over… Khartoum is free,” a reference to the end of the military presence of the Rapid Support Militia inside the localities of the city of Khartoum, and that the city of Khartoum is now free.
Since Wednesday morning, the Sudanese Armed Forces and the supporting forces have been making rapid progress within the framework of their plan to clean Khartoum state of the remnants of the Rapid Support Militia, and advanced through several axes according to a plan aimed at cleaning Khartoum state from the rebel militia.
