Kabashi Promises Imminent Return to Displaced Citizens from Kordofan & Darfur

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Shams El-Din Kabashi, praised the steadfastness of the Sudanese people and their courageous patience in the Battle of Dignity, describing the current suffering and displacement as a temporary departure imposed by the conditions of war.
During his visit to Karari locality, Kabashi conveyed good news to displaced people from the states of Darfur and Kordofan about their imminent return to their areas. He affirmed that the state places the file of voluntary return to secured and cleared areas at the top of its priorities, with reconstruction operations set to begin immediately thereafter.
Kabashi said: “Our appointment with you is in Kordofan and Darfur, and we will spare no effort to return you to your homes.”
The Sovereignty Council member stressed that the victories achieved in Kadugli are part of a series of consecutive successes by the Armed Forces and the supporting forces, emphasizing that the advance will continue until the entire territory of the nation is cleansed of the scourge of rebellion.
Kabashi commended the Government of Khartoum State and its citizens for their generosity in hosting and supporting the displaced, praising the discipline demonstrated by the displaced communities during this period. He also lauded the efforts of the Humanitarian Aid Commission and the relevant authorities in providing essential services, affirming continued coordination with the state government to meet citizens’ needs until their return to their homes.
For his part, Khartoum State Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza praised the Armed Forces, the supporting forces, and the Sudanese people, commending their great sacrifices in defeating the rebellious terrorist militia and achieving victories. He affirmed that efforts continue to cleanse every inch of the country from the remnants of rebellion.
The governor welcomed the displaced people from Darfur and Kordofan, affirming that they are among their own people and in their homeland. He noted that the visit of Sovereignty Council member Lieutenant General Shams El-Din Kabashi comes within the context of checking on the conditions of citizens who arrived in Khartoum from war-affected areas.
The governor explained that the area visited today in Karari locality is currently hosting 350 families from South Kordofan, and 600 families from West Kordofan and North Darfur.
He praised the efforts exerted by the relevant authorities in providing essential services to the displaced and directed the Humanitarian Aid Commission and concerned bodies to regulate and improve the distribution of assistance to ensure it reaches those entitled to it.
