Juba Stadium Designated as Sudan’s Home Ground for AFCON Qualifiers

Cairo – Sudanhorizon

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has designated Juba Stadium as the home ground for the Sudanese national football team’s matches in the preliminary qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The Sudanese national team will begin its qualifying campaign against Ethiopia on September 25 at Juba Stadium, aiming to secure one of the two qualifying spots from the group.

Following the match against Ethiopia, the Falcons of Jediane will travel to Mozambique to face its national team on home soil a week later, in their second qualifying match.

The draw placed Sudan in a group alongside Senegal, the reigning Africa Cup of Nations champions, Mozambique, and Ethiopia.

According to the qualifying system, the top two teams in each group will qualify directly for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
