Jibril Ibrahim attacks international organisations and denounces UAE support for the militia

Jibril Ibrahim, leader of the Justice and Equality Movement, severely criticised international organisations on Wednesday for their failure to deliver humanitarian aid to El-Fashir in North Darfur, accusing the Rapid Support Forces of committing horrific crimes there with the backing of the United Arab Emirates.
In a speech broadcast today, Jibril Ibrahim said: “The organisations that failed to deliver aid to El-Fashir must recognise that the dead do not eat,” adding that “some international bodies rush to provide relief in areas under militia occupation while turning away from assisting displaced people in safe areas.”
Ibrahim denounced what he described as double standards in the handling of Sudan’s humanitarian crisis, insisting that the government “will not accept this approach any longer,” and suggesting that recent foreign ministry decisions are only the beginning.
On Tuesday, the government asked the World Food Programme’s representative and the organisation’s head of operations to leave the country, declaring them persona non grata.
Ibrahim accused what he called the “terrorist gangs of the Abu Dhabi regime” — a reference to the RSF — of committing war crimes and genocide in El-Fashir.
Addressing the international community, he said: “To the states that have maintained a shameful silence in the face of the genocidal crimes the militias are committing, and that have ignored Security Council resolutions to lift the siege on El-Fashir, and even to some extent helped arm the militias through the Abu Dhabi regime — history does not forget.”
He warned that the unlimited external support the RSF receives and Abu Dhabi’s tampering with the region’s strategic security aim not only at Darfur and Sudan but at reshaping the entire regional map.
Ibrahim acknowledged his government’s responsibility for its inability to come to El-Fashir’s aid, called for a review of past performance to improve planning and implementation, and stressed the need for national unity, strengthening the home front, and protecting it from infiltration and mercenary projects of conspiracy, in his words.
