Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, member of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief, heralded a comprehensive industrial renaissance for the Sudanese people and stated that final victory over the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia is near. He indicated that the armed forces (SAF) and their supporting forces are steadily advancing to defeat the rebellion on all fronts.

Speaking at the Khartoum International Fair in Burri on Thursday, at the closing ceremony of the 16th “Made in Sudan” exhibition, in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mahasin Ali Yaqoub, and the Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Othman Hamza, Jaber noted that the country is poised for a comprehensive industrial renaissance across various sectors.
He also announced the government’s support for efforts to promote and develop national industry, considering it a crucial economic pillar that contributes to reducing the demand for foreign currency, providing job opportunities for young people, and offering Sudanese products capable of competing in international markets.
Lieutenant General Jaber called on companies and the Employers’ Federation to forge an effective partnership with the National Cooperative Corporation to ensure that discount centers remain open in all neighborhoods and districts after the exhibition concludes, thus contributing to reducing the cost of living for people.
Jaber commended the efforts of the exhibition’s organizing committee and the participation of more than 137 factories and companies despite the prevailing circumstances and challenges. He expressed his appreciation for the ongoing cooperation and communication between the government and the industrial sector to drive production and their commitment to the resumption of industrial activity and commercial and cultural events in Khartoum State.
For his part, the head of the Sudanese Employers’ Federation, Dr. Muawiya Al-Barir, indicated that all industrial areas are slated for the restoration of electricity and the resumption of operations. He revealed that the damage inflicted on the industrial sector is estimated at approximately $50 billion as a result of the systematic destruction perpetrated by the militias.
Dr. Al-Barir further stated that the closing ceremony of the exhibition confirms that Sudanese industry is still alive and that manufacturers are determined to rebuild their factories to a level even better than before, not solely for profit, but for the sake of building the nation. The factory owners also called for joint efforts with state institutions to move the country forward, noting that the union is working with government agencies to protect domestic products.
