Gen. Al-Burhan Leaves for Asmara

Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, President of the Sudanese Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, left Port Sudan on Tuesday morning on an official visit to Asmara, Eritrea.

A press release by the Transitional Sovereign Council Media said Gen Al-Burhan will hold talks with the Eritrean President, Isaias Afwerki, during the visit on bilateral relations and ways to enhance them further and on issues of common interest between the two countries.

Al- Burhan is accompanied during the visit by the Minister of Culture and Information, Khaled Al-Aiser, and the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal.
