Foreign Minister Briefs Representatives of Diplomatic Missions in Cairo on Developments in Sudan

The Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ali Youssef, met in Cairo on Sunday with ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Sudan, residing in Cairo.
The Minister has highlighted during the meeting the current developments in the Sudan and the advanced operational position of the Sudanese Armed Forces and their successes in recovering a number of cities and states. He further stressed the resolve of the Sudanese Armed Forces to cleanse the entire country of the militia and its stooges.
The Minister pointed out that the appointment of a civilian prime minister to lead a government of technocrats is imminent, and he also stressed that the war is about to come to an end ,citing the victory scored by the armed forces, the joint forces, and all regular and support forces backed by the masses of the Sudanese people.
The Minister also reviewed the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11, 2023, stressing Sudan’s commitment to its full implementation as a prerequisite for engaging in any future negotiations.
He also explained the reasons for Sudan’s refusal to participate in other negotiating forums, considering that they aimed to override the Jeddah Agreement and have further invited the United Arab Emirates, the sponsor of the militia, as a facilitator.
