Food Baskets from Kuwait’s Direct Aid Society for the Needy in Three Sudanese States

The Kuwaiti Direct Aid Society distributed approximately 1,900 food baskets to support displaced people affected by the war in Sudan. The food baskets targeted shelters in the states of the Red Sea, Kassala, and South Kordofan, sufficient for the targeted families for a month.
Director of the Direct Aid Society, Ahmed Al-Sheikh, said that the distribution included 1,300 food baskets for the displaced in the Red Sea and Kassala states, in addition to 600 baskets in the city of Dilling in South Kordofan state.
It is estimated that approximately 10,000 people will benefit from this aid, and each basket is sufficient to cover the needs of families for an entire month.
Al-Sheikh added, “The society looks forward to reaching the largest possible number of beneficiaries as security expands in the country.”
Al-Sheikh expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kuwaiti government and people for their continued humanitarian support, as well as to all the parties that contributed to the successful distribution of this aid to those in need.
This initiative comes within the framework of the association’s programs, which include Iftar for the fasting person for the year (1446 AH) corresponding to (2025 AD), in addition to humanitarian interventions and the distribution of food baskets to the poor and those affected by the war.
