FM: RSF’s Sponsor to be Held Accountable for its Atrocities

Port Sudan – Sudanhorizon
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stressed that it holds all sponsors of the Rapid Support Forces militia from regional countries and their allied Western countries, responsible for the serious violations committed by the rebel militia in Al-Fasher and Al-Obeid.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the terrorist militia committed a series of heinous humanitarian crimes over the past hours targeting purely civilian objectives, resulting in innocent citizens losing their lives. It explained in its statement that the militia shelled the warehouses of the World Food Programme in Al-Fashir yesterday, completely burning them along with their food supplies. ‘’Today, it targeted the Al-Daman Hospital in Al-Obeid, killing 16 patients who were receiving medical treatment, in addition to injuring several other visitors and medical staff.’’ The ministry underlined.
The criminal militia attacked a popular market in Al-Khowy on Wednesday using drones, killing eight civilians. It also targeted a residential neighborhood in Al-Dubaybat, South Kordofan, where two citizens were killed, the statement added.
The Ministry underlined that these successive major crimes in less than 72 hours embody the pattern of deliberate and systematic targeting by the terrorist militia of civilians, humanitarian and civil institutions and vital facilities, with the aim of inflicting the greatest loss of life and preventing the provision of necessary services such as food, water, treatment and electricity, as the militia targeted all hospitals operating in El Fashir and removed most of them from service, and wiped out the Zamzam IDPs camp, which was subject to continuous shelling with long-range heavy artillery for a whole year.
A ground offensive on the camp killed hundreds of displaced people, as well as taking the remaining ones hostage. The Foreign Ministry pointed out that some reports said that the militia deported more than (300) displaced women from Zamzam camp and took them as hostages to Nyala.
While it continues its siege on the city, preventing food from reaching it and burning food warehouses, with the aim of imposing a slow death on its inhabitants, as it has been doing in the concentration and torture camps for civilians that were revealed after the liberation of the capital.
The statement pointed out that the vital facilities in the city of Al-Obeid remained vulnerable to attacks by the militia using drones, which included hospitals, schools, neighborhoods, markets, and even the city prison where more than 40 inmates were killed earlier this month.
Additionally, the statement underlined, dozens of militia attacks on electricity and water stations across the country have led to the spread of epidemics due to the lack of potable water in some areas.
The Foreign Ministry held those sponsoring the regional states responsible for the militia’s crimes, considering them the source of the strategic drones used to commit these crimes and for financing the mercenaries who make up the militia, including those who operate the drones.
It also warned that the Western powers allied with the sponsoring states bear a significant share of the responsibility for providing protection to the militia on international platforms and their leniency towards the militia’s crimes.
