Field Sources: SAF Repels attack on Al-Nuhoud Town

Field sources said the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) along with the popular resistance forces that support them have succeeded this morning (Thursday) in repelling a large attack launched by the rebel Rapid Support militia on Al-Nuhoud town, West Kordofan state.
The sources told Sudanhorizon news website that the attack on al-Nuhoud was coming from three directions: west, northwest and north), but SAF and their supporters have managed to repel them and pushed them away following fierce fighting.
SAF and their supporters from the “Knights of Dar Hamr” succeeded Wednesday in expelling the remnants of the Rapid Support Militia from “Al-Khoi” area, West Kordofan state.
Military sources told Sudanhorizon that it was believed that the remnants of the Rapid Support Militia, which withdrew from Khartoum and North Kordofan states, due to military pressure, are trying to establish themselves in West Kordofan or loot as much food and money as they could on their way to Darfur.
