Eritrean Masses React to Al Burhan’s Visit

Eritrean and Sudanese citizens gathered in front of the presidential palace and throughout the streets of Eritrea’s capital, Asmara, warmly welcoming the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, while chanting, “One people, one army.”

The crowds also rallied around Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, creating a scene that brought tears to the eyes of those present and transformed the streets of Asmara into an unprecedented display of emotional unity.
