Egypt Condemns Targeting of Vital Facilities in Port Sudan and Kassala

Egypt has issued a statement condemning the targeting of infrastructure and vital facilities in the cities of Port Sudan and Kassala, in eastern Sudan.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed in a statement received by “Sudanhorizon”, Sunday, the need to preserve the capabilities of the Sudanese people, and avoid targeting infrastructure, various civilian facilities, and to preserve the unity and stability of Sudan.
Egypt has meanwhile stressed that targeting civilian infrastructure leads to damage to efforts to restore stability in Sudan and impedes efforts to enhance humanitarian access to the Sudanese people.
The statement further called for a ceasefire in order to preserve the capabilities of the Sudanese people.
