Council of Ministers Approves Cybercrime Bill and a Set of International Agreements

The Council of Ministers, in its regular session held on Sunday in Port Sudan and chaired by Prime Minister Kamel Idris, approved a number of agreements.

The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Ali Mohamed Ali, stated in a press briefing that the meeting endorsed the Cybercrime (Amendment) Bill for the year 2025, presented by the Minister of Justice, in addition to the approval of international agreements related to the protection of cultural property.

The council also approved a memorandum of understanding between Sudan and Russia in the field of culture, as well as another MoU between China Media Group and the General Authority for Radio and Television.

He added that the Prime Minister briefed the council at the start of the session on the outcomes of his recent visit to the State of Eritrea.

The council further commended the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, along with the General Intelligence Service, for their significant efforts in recovering looted cultural properties.
