Charge d’Affaires of Sudan’s Embassy in Chad: Return of Refugees to Their Homes Imminent

The Charge d’Affaires of the Sudanese Embassy in Chad, Ambassador Mohamed Jamal Omar, has emphasized the need for the Sudanese community in Chad to maintain its cohesion and the unity of its ranks, adhering to the values of unity and joint action.
In his address at the Sudanese community’s celebration marking Eid al-Adha in N’Djamena, Omar stated that Sudan was on its way to victory and peace, commending the victories achieved by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their supporting forces in the national dignity war against the Rapid Support Forces militia.
He noted that these successive victories on the ground herald the near end of the suffering that the Sudanese people have endured for more than two years.
He pointed out that the return of refugees to their homes was now imminent, due to the advancing position of the armed forces and the popular cohesion behind them.
The ambassador expressed his wishes that the celebration of the upcoming holidays would take place on the soil of the homeland, under conditions of stability and complete restoration of the Sudanese state.
The Sudanese Charge d’Affaires in Chad confirmed that the embassy was closely monitoring the situations of refugees and working in close coordination with the Chadian authorities and international organizations to ensure the dignified and safe return of Sudanese who were forced to leave their homeland due to the war, expressing deep gratitude to the Chadian people for their noble positions in opening their homes and hearts to Sudanese over the past two years, providing them with refuge and support in the darkest circumstances.
He emphasized that this genuine popular stance stems from the bonds of history, geography, and the shared destiny that connects the peoples of the two countries, asserting that Sudanese will not forget this humanitarian attitude and sincere solidarity.
It is to be noted that the celebrations witnessed wide participation from members of the Sudanese community who expressed their joy during the event and interacted with speeches that expressed hope for a quick return to their homeland.
