CBS Launches New Electronic System to Enhance Digital Transformation and Tighten Oversight
Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
The Central Bank of Sudan (CBS) announced the official launch of its electronic capital flow system through its online portal.
In a statement issued Wednesday evening, the bank explained that this step comes within the framework of its efforts to enhance digital transformation, develop oversight procedures, and automate processes related to foreign investors to facilitate their implementation and electronic monitoring.
The statement indicated that the system aims to tighten control over the movement of foreign capital by recording the integrated documentary cycle of investments, which includes registering capital and new additions, monitoring the transfer of profits and loans, in addition to regulating the repatriation of foreign capital.
According to the statement, the new system provides a unified database of foreign investments at the Central Bank, including investor data, the economic sectors targeted by the investments, the countries of origin of the capital, and the volume of financial flows.
The CBS has confirmed that commercial bank employees receive advanced training covering all stages of the system to ensure smooth operation and efficient implementation.
