Burhan Concludes Short Visit to Asmara

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, concluded a short visit to the Eritrean capital, Asmara, on Friday .
He was received by Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki upon his arrival at Asmara International Airport.
A press release issued by the Sovereign Council’s media office stated that the two heads of stated discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between Khartoum and Asmara in various fields. They emphasized the importance of strengthening the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two brotherly peoples.

The Chairman of the Sovereign Council’s visit to Eritrea underscores Sudan’s commitment to strengthening its relations with neighboring Eritrea. It also reflects the level of coordination between the two countries’ leaderships on regional and international issues and on establishing security and stability in the region.
