Bank of Sudan Opens Gold Window in Northern State

The Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Amina Mirghani, has announced the bank’s approval to open a gold window in the Northern State.

During her inspection tour of the Central Bank of Sudan branches in the Northern State on Wednesday, the governor indicated the bank’s readiness to increase its contribution to the Northern Microfinance Company, noting the bank’s efforts to attract regional microfinance institutions.

Mirghani affirmed the bank’s support for the state government’s programs, particularly financing the agricultural season, infrastructure projects, road maintenance, and electricity grid connections, while emphasizing the importance of addressing obstacles related to financing state projects and ensuring a stable electricity supply.

For their part, members of the state government appreciated the Governor’s visit and the information she provided, stressing the importance of overcoming obstacles related to financing state projects and ensuring a stable electricity supply.
