Bank of Khartoum Launches New Free Service Requiring No Internet

On Sunday evening, the Bank of Khartoum announced the launch of a USSD service for its customers that does not require a smartphone or an internet connection. In a press release, the bank stated that this move fulfills a commitment made to its customers in a previous announcement.

The service aims to alleviate the load on the “Bankak” app and expand digital payment options; the bank noted that it plans to gradually roll out additional banking services.

Bank of Khartoum confirmed that the service is available by dialing *1913# via the MTN network, without the need for internet access.
