The Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered Sudan’s statement before the summit, in which he addressed developments in Sudan and the aggressive war launched by the rebel Rapid Support Militia against the Sudanese people, listing some of its crimes and calling on the international community to condemn it and classify it as a terrorist group.
The Minister also called for the necessity of adhering to international commitments related to light weapons and others, including the ban on supplying and supplying terrorist groups and rebel militias with weapons and ammunition, especially in cases of armed conflict, in line with the spirit of the Future Document, which calls for creating a world free of wars.
In a related context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs held a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel Aati, on the sidelines of the high-level week meetings. The Minister expressed the Sudanese government’s thanks and appreciation to the Arab Republic of Egypt for its supportive and steadfast position on Sudan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in all international and regional forums.
