Al-Hilal Beats Mouloudia of Algeria by One Goal and Approaches the Quarter-Finals

Algeria – Sudanhorizon

Al-Hilal of Sudan approached qualifying for the semi-finals of the African Champions League group stage after defeating Mouloudia of Algeria on its home ground by one goal to none, courtesy of Mauritanian professional Gassoma Fofana.

The Sudanese Blues raised their score to 9 points at the top of Group One, while their Algerian opponent remained at 4 points, ahead of Congolese Mazembe by two points, and Tanzanian Youth remained at the bottom of the group with a single point.

Al-Hilal needs one point from the total points of its remaining matches in the fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds against Mouloudia in Mauritania, Mazembe in Congo, and Youth in Tanzania to obtain a ticket to qualify for the quarter-finals.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) rejected Al-Hilal Club’s request to move its virtual stadium to Libya because the Mauritanian Football Federation intends to make repairs to Al-Hilal’s virtual stadium, Sheikha Bedia, in Nouakchott.
