Al-Gezira State Deports Thousands of South Sudanese Citizens to Their Country

The Al-Gezira State Government announced the deportation of thousands of South Sudanese citizens to their country. The Director General of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Development in the State, Fath Al-Rahman Muhammad Ahmed, revealed the completion of 3 truck trips carrying 3,000 southern citizens from the state to the northern Joda crossing, most of whom are women, children, youth and the elderly.

Fath Al-Rahman confirmed, according to a statement to the Sudan News Agency, the state government’s commitment to deporting all foreigners residing illegally outside the state during the coming period.
