Al-Burhan: We Are Resolute in Eradicating Rebellion

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, stated that the armed forces, along with other security forces and mobilized personnel, are steadfastly committed to eradicating rebellion and uprooting the criminal terrorist militia led by the Al-Daglo group.
Speaking on Monday at the Conference on Women’s Issues in Eastern Sudan, Al-Burhan dismissed rumours about a political conference, asserting that there are no negotiations or settlements with any political entity. He clarified, “Claims in this regard are entirely baseless. However, the door remains open for repentance and reconciliation for those who lay down their arms and choose peace.”
Focus on Women’s Development in Eastern Sudan
Al-Burhan highlighted the state’s commitment to addressing women’s issues, emphasizing the need to utilize eastern Sudan’s resources to empower and develop women in the region. He praised women’s role in advancing and improving conditions in eastern Sudan. He saluted all Sudanese women nationwide for supporting the armed forces in defending the nation.
He pledged to personally oversee the implementation of the conference’s outcomes to ensure they are translated into tangible actions.
Conference Attendance
Governors from eastern states, representatives of the diplomatic corps, leaders of state institutions, women’s organizations from eastern Sudan, and various media outlets attended the conference. Al-Burhan’s remarks underscored the importance of harnessing local resources for development and fostering women’s roles in rebuilding the region.
