Al-Burhan Returns Home Amid Massive Crowds of Supporters

Thousands of Sudanese citizens gathered at the gates of Port Sudan Airport and along the city’s main entrance to welcome the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, upon his return this evening to the administrative capital, Port Sudan.
The crowds at the airport and along the main roads expressed their joy over the victories the Sudanese Armed Forces achieved, particularly the liberation of Wad Madani, the capital of Al-Jazirah State. They also showed their support for the country’s leadership.
Al-Burhan concluded a successful tour of several West African countries, visiting five nations: Mali, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Senegal, and Mauritania.
