Al-Burhan Receives the Credentials of the Ambassadors of South Sudan and Türkiye

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, received the credentials of the new ambassador of the State of South Sudan to Sudan, Ambassador Garang Deng, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Gali Ali Youssef, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin, on Sunday according to a circular published by the media of the Transitional Sovereignty Council.

The Ambassador of the State of South Sudan said in a press statement that he conveyed to the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council the greetings of his brother, Lieutenant General Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the State of South Sudan, indicating that the relations between his country and Sudan are solid fraternal relations. He pointed out that the two brotherly peoples are originally one people in two countries.

Ambassador Garang explained that the people of South Sudan view with great concern the crises that the Sudanese people are suffering from, wishing them continued security, peace, and stability.

In a related context, the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council received the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Sudan, Ambassador Fatih Yildiz.

The Turkish ambassador said in a press statement that he conveyed the greetings of his brother, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, referring to the distinguished bilateral relations between Türkiye and Sudan. In addition to the cooperative relations that bind the two countries.

He added that his country stands by the Sudanese people in this ordeal they are going through, expressing his hope for achieving peace and stability in Sudan.

The ambassador stressed that he would work during his term to maintain fruitful cooperative relations with Sudan.
