Al-Burhan Meets Head of Egyptian General Intelligence

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met on Saturday with the Head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, Minister Major General Hassan Mahmoud Rashad, in the presence of the Director of the Sudanese General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal.

Major General Rashad conveyed to General Al-Burhan the greetings of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, along with his wishes for lasting peace, security, and stability for the Sudanese people.

The meeting addressed the distinguished relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them, in addition to efforts aimed at combating terrorism and safeguarding the security of the Red Sea and the region.

The meeting also discussed arrangements related to the humanitarian situation in Sudan, in a manner that ensures the facilitation of relief operations and the safe delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.
