Al Burhan Meets CISSA Delegation

Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met on Thursday with a delegation from the Committee of Intelligence and Security Services of Africa (CISSA), in the presence of the Director General of the Sudanese General Intelligence Service, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal.

The CISSA delegation congratulated the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council on the resumption of the Sudanese government’s work from the capital, Khartoum, expressing its deep appreciation for the state’s sustained efforts to restore security and stability and to enable official institutions to resume their duties from the capital.

The delegation also reaffirmed its full and unwavering solidarity with Sudan and its support for the state’s efforts in confronting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, while stressing the critical importance of strengthening the foundations of security and stability across the country.

During the meeting, Al-Burhan reviewed the latest developments in Sudan and outlined the government’s ongoing efforts to restore security and public safety. He also presented the state’s vision for the next phase and discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation with African intelligence and security agencies.

The meeting also addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, with both sides discussing prospects for enhancing security cooperation and coordination between Sudan and CISSA in support of peace, security, and stability in both Sudan and the African continent.
