President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said while addressing worshippers today (Friday) at the historic Al-Managil Mosque that the Madani–Al-Managil road will be among the priorities of the reconstruction and rebuilding agenda.
He also said the state is committed to developing healthcare institutions in Al-Managil and strengthening their capacity to provide medical services to residents.
Residents of Al-Managil lined the streets to welcome Al-Burhan, chanting “One Army, One People” and reaffirming their support for the armed forces and allied forces until victory is achieved and all besieged cities and areas are restored to the homeland.
They called for the swift maintenance and rehabilitation of the Madani–Al-Managil road, describing it as a strategic route located within the Gezira Scheme that connects central Sudan with the port. They also highlighted its importance for the movement of people, goods, and agricultural products.
Addressing the worshippers after Friday prayers, Al-Burhan praised the resilience of Al-Managil and its role throughout the war, describing the city as “the navel of Sudan” after it provided a safe haven for thousands displaced by the conflict from various areas.

Al-Burhan said the liberation of Gezira State began from the resilient city of Al-Managil. He praised its residents for their patriotic stance and active participation in various military operations during the “Battle of Dignity,” commending their sacrifices and support for the armed forces and allied forces.
At the conclusion of his remarks, Al-Burhan pledged to construct the headquarters of the 3rd Brigade in Al-Managil and reaffirmed that work on the project would be completed as soon as possible.
