Al-Burhan: Killers and Criminals Will Have No Place in Sudan

Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said today, Friday, that their commitment “to the Sudanese people and the martyrs is that these killers and criminals will have no place in Sudan,” referring to the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.

Addressing worshippers after Friday prayers, Al-Burhan affirmed that “the battle continues to eliminate and defeat the rebellion,” stressing that the Battle of Dignity and Honor will not end until the rebellion is decisively defeated and brought to an end.

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief renewed his welcome to anyone who responds to the call of duty and the nation and surrenders, stressing that anyone carrying arms is not welcome. He also reiterated his rejection of any external agenda imposed on the Sudanese people.

Al-Burhan stressed that Sudan’s problems must be resolved through Sudanese-led dialogue inside the country, leading to consensus, the rebuilding of Sudan, and moving it forward.

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council said the battle has taken multiple forms, adding that the economic crisis, rising prices, and scarcity of resources experienced by the country these days are all part of this battle, which Sudan will emerge from victorious, just as the rebellion was driven out of Khartoum and other cities.

He added that Sudan will rise through the determination of its people and become more resolute and stronger in overcoming the challenges facing the country, rebuilding Sudan, and preserving its gains and unity.

The Commander-in-Chief paid tribute to Sudan’s martyrs and the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity and Honor who made great sacrifices for the unity, stability, and sovereignty of the nation. He praised the patriotic positions of the Al-Sharif Youssef family in the Burri area and its support for the Armed Forces, while expressing his appreciation for the national and historic role of the late Al-Sharif Zain Al-Abdeen.
