Al-Burhan congratulates the Sudanese Football Federation on the qualification of the National Team

The Sudanese General Football Federation said the President of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, made (Tuesday) a telephone call with the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Moatasem Jaafar Sir Al-Khatm, in which he congratulated them on the well-deserved qualification to the finals of the African Cup of Nations (Morocco 2025).

He declared his full support for the Sudanese national team in the African Nations qualifiers for local (2025) and the World Cup qualifiers (2026) and his full sponsorship to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the Sudanese people in reaching their finals. The President of the Sudanese Federation, Dr. Moatasem Jaafar, thanked the Chair of the Sovereignt Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and dedicated the victory to him, the government officials as well as the Sudanese people, stressing that the President’s personal interest in the secretary Birds was vital for the victories scored by the National Squad.

He stressed that the President’s personal interest in the Secretary Birds led to their qualification for the African Cup of Nations finals, describing it as great achievement for Sudan at this difficult historical circumstance. They promised the President of the Sovereign Council, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces that they would work hard to reach the finals of the local (Chan) and World Cup (Canada, America, and Mexico), and to overcome all hurdles, harnessing the network of external relations for that goal, taking care of the national team’s players, and creating the appropriate atmosphere for them to achieve those goals.

The Secretary Birds qualified for the African Nations Finals with a goalless draw on Monday evening against Angola in the final round of the qualifiers.
