Mineral Resources: 10 Companies Resume Production

The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company has revealed that ten mining companies have returned to production and achieved higher production rates compared to pre-war period, with improved work conditions.
In its 2025 performance summary report the company showed the cancellation of contracts of 37 companies that failed to fulfill their contractual obligations.
The report confirmed a significant increase in traditional mining production during 2025, scoring 58 tons. It stated that streamlining procedures and tightening controls on gold transport and shipping significantly contributed to the accuracy of production monitoring.
According to the report, total exports of free gold reached 12.638 tons, valued at $1 billion. It also confirmed that compliance with safety and environmental requirements in organized mining reached 70%, while in traditional mining stood at 51%.
The report further detailed the digitization of all technical, administrative, and financial operations through the Maaden electronic portal and other electronic systems.
The report also highlighted the signing of several strategic partnerships, memoranda of understanding, and agreements with various public and private sector institutions.
