Sudanese Official Supervises Abuja International Half Marathon

The International Association of Athletics Federations has assigned Sudanese administrative expert Dr. Siddiq Ahmed Ibrahim to oversee the Abuja International Half Marathon, which will kick off tomorrow, Saturday, with the participation of several world champions in the marathon and half-marathon.

Dr. Siddiq departed today (Friday) for Addis Ababa before heading to Abuja, Nigeria, to begin his duties.

Engineer Dr. Siddiq Ahmed Ibrahim serves as Secretary of the East Africa Athletics Federation, a member of the Executive Office of the African Athletics Confederation, and a member of the Competitions Committee of the International Association.

He was also selected as the International Federation’s technical delegate for road races, cross-country, and marathons in Lagos, Nigeria.

Dr. Siddiq previously supervised the Lagos International Marathon, which saw the participation of more than 69 runners, on February 8 of this year.
