Burhan: We Are Confident Our People Will Prevail

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, saluted the “fighting forces in every part of the country.”

Burhan has affirmed that “the war for dignity is the battle of the Sudanese people, and we are confident that the people will not be defeated. Soon, they will triumph over this militia and its supporters from colonial powers.”

Burhan made the statements during a meeting on Wednesday  with the “Mobile Command,” which oversees the supervision of the theater of military operations, according to the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces’ Facebook page.

Burhan announced that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) will avenge their martyrs and “all those who were brutalized by the militia owned by the Dagalo family in El Fasher, El Geneina, El Gezira, and every place they have defiled.”

Burhan reiterated his greetings to the Sudanese people and wished mercy and acceptance for the martyrs, a speedy recovery for the wounded, and a safe return for the missing.
