USA, France and UK Discuss Situation in Sudan

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio made two separate calls with British Foreign Secretary David Lamy and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot on Tuesday evening, discussing developments in Sudan and other issues of concern to the three countries.
State Department Spokesperson Tomi Pigot said Rubio spoke with the British Foreign Secretary about Hamas and the situation in Gaza, including efforts to return all hostages to their homes. The two ministers affirmed their shared commitment to ensuring that Iran does not obtain or develop a nuclear weapon. They agreed to continue working together to end the war between Russia and Ukraine through a lasting, negotiated settlement. They also discussed continued cooperation on Iran, Sudan, and Lebanon.
In a separate call, Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, where the two ministers agreed to continue cooperating on diplomatic efforts to end the war between Russia and Ukraine through a negotiated settlement and to take measures to ensure a lasting peace.
The spokeswoman said in a statement published on the US State Department website that the two ministers also discussed the situations in Iran, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
