Armed Movements Pledge to Clear the Capital

The Committee for Evacuating the Capital from Military Formations and Joint Forces and Collecting Arms held its fifth meeting on Sunday, chaired by Lieutenant General Abdel Mahmoud Hammad Hussein, with the attendance of all members and commanders of the forces covered by the evacuation order.
The meeting discussed practical arrangements for evacuating the capital from military presence, in light of the decision of the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council. The force commanders affirmed their full commitment to implementing the decision and withdrawing forces to the specified and agreed-upon sites and camps.
They also announced their disclaimer of responsibility for any presence of armed forces and formations after the expiration of the agreed-upon deadline. Security services will deal decisively with armed presence after the expiration of the deadline.
The Committee Chairman, Lieutenant General Abdel Mahmoud Hammad Hussein, emphasized the need to continue implementing the decision of the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council to normalize civilian life in the capital and facilitate the return of citizens to their neighborhoods and homes in an environment conducive to security and safety.
For his part, Brigadier General of Police Fath Al-Rahman Muhammad Al-Toum, the official spokesman for the police forces and head of the media committee, stated in a statement to the police press office that all committees are continuing their work and implementing approved plans with the aim of establishing security, imposing the state’s authority, and providing services.
